This is a wonderful local company that was a joy to work with. An actual human answered the phone when I called to inquire about a stair lift for my parents. Jim came out that very afternoon for the estimate. He was professional but very personable and answered all our questions. The installation was set up for a few days later, with Mitch. We would highly recommend this family owned, local business to everyone.

I had such a good feeling speaking with Jim, and his son Mitch. They made me feel like they were family. The price was so reasonable that I was amazed - as it was cheaper than an estimate I got 4 years ago from another company. Purchased the SL600 Stair Lift. Very high quality product. They came to the house very quickly to submit the bid and installed it a week later. They stock the materials so if you don't need a custom job (like a curved stairway), their turnaround is fast. It's a family business and they are very professional.

The cost of a stair lift can vary depending on the stairway, so we recommend an in-person estimate. However, for a straight set of steps with no landings or turns – new, straight stair lifts typically fall in the $3000 to $5000 range. If you would like a written estimate or have any other questions, please contact us and we will be happy to help!

For most stairways, no the number of steps doesn’t impact the price. However, if the total length of your stairway exceeds 15 feet, a rail extension may be required. Additional cost for a rail extension is usually between $300 and $500. Contact us to get a free estimate.

For most stair lifts, a stairway width of 27″ to 28″ is needed. If is it close or you would like an in-home consultation, please reach out. When folded up our most popular stair lift takes up as little as 10.5″, leaving plenty of room for others to use the stairs.

A typical straight stair lift installation takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete. At Options HME, we stock straight stair lifts so our lead times for installs are typically 1 to 2 weeks. However, if you need a lift installed sooner, just reach out and we will make every attempt to accommodate!

In the vast majority of homes an existing outlet will work, no special wiring required! For the few homes that do need an outlet installed, we can point out the ideal location during a free in-home estimate. All of our stair lifts feature an on-board battery backup system that is also used to operate the lift as it travels the stairway. When the lift is parked at either end of the rail, it sits on a charging point to keep the batteries topped up. This means we are just plugging in a battery charger that draws less than 5 amps into a standard outlet.
